Free WordPress Managed Opportunity Scanner for Web Hosters

June 1, 2026 · Jaume Freixa

The Future of Managed WordPress It’s Proactive Website Intelligence and Automation

We built a free automated Revenue Intelligence tool for WordPress hosters and agencies to help them upsell. Here’s the thinking behind it, what it does, and how to use it.

The data is clear: hosters want to grow ARPU, but the resources aren’t there yet

According to the WebPros Web Hosting Trends Report 2026, 50% of hosting providers plan to expand professional services as their primary strategy to increase average revenue per user. 39% are bundling more features into premium tiers. And 14% see Managed WordPress Hosting as their biggest growth opportunity in the next 2-3 years.

At the same time, 39% of support time is consumed by customer CMS and application issues (WordPress plugins, conflicts, installation help), 35% by performance problems, and 35% by security incidents. And 53% of providers cite outdated or vulnerable WordPress software as their number one security challenge.

In other words: the opportunity is massive, the problems are real, and the customers already exist in the base. What’s missing is a systematic way to connect the signals to the commercial action.

The line between hosters and agencies is blurring

For years, the difference between a Managed WordPress Hosting plan and a web maintenance service from an agency was relatively clear. The hoster handled the technical layer: infrastructure, backups, SSL, performance, security, uptime, updates. The agency handled the human and business layer: content, design, UX, SEO, CRO, campaigns, integrations and strategic improvements.

But AI and automation are starting to blur that line. The WebPros report confirms it: 84% of hosting providers rate automation as important or extremely important when choosing new software. And 36% see integrated AI and automation as the single biggest innovation opportunity for control panels in the next 2-3 years.

Many tasks that used to belong to basic website maintenance are becoming automated:

  • WordPress health checks
  • Plugin and theme monitoring
  • Security and vulnerability detection
  • Performance diagnostics
  • Backup and uptime monitoring
  • Mobile speed analysis
  • WooCommerce readiness checks
  • Compliance and tracking gaps

This creates a new opportunity for hosters.

From reactive infrastructure to proactive website care

Managed WordPress Hosting is moving from being a reactive infrastructure product to becoming a proactive website care layer.

The real question is no longer: “Is this website hosted on a good server?”

The real question is: “What does this website need next?”

A slow WooCommerce store may need a performance upsell. A vulnerable WordPress site may need a security pack. A business website without backups may need a care plan. A site with traffic but no tracking may need a growth or analytics service. A customer using WordPress without professional maintenance may need a managed plan.

Most hosters already have much of this data. The WebPros report shows that 30% already use AI for server monitoring and optimization, and 65% want automated site security and malware detection as their most valuable future AI capability. The shift isn’t about collecting more signals. It’s about activating them commercially.

And yet, 34% of providers still struggle to educate customers on the value of managed hosting versus cheaper unmanaged options. The conversation is hard when you don’t have evidence specific to that customer’s website. But even with the right data, a proper upsell process requires a structured, automated outreach system with tens of iterations before finding the messaging that consistently converts. This takes experienced sales profiles who understand the human side of selling, not just the technical side. And these profiles are not easy to find in the hosting industry, especially when most tickets are low-value and the economics don’t justify a dedicated sales team per product line.

That’s why we built the Managed WordPress Revenue Intelligence Agent

At Jaumatic, we work at the intersection of hosting industry expertise and AI-powered commercial activation. We see every day how hosters and agencies sit on massive upsell potential that never gets activated, simply because there’s no internal resources in the hosting mid-size market to identify which customers need what from a RevOps perspective.

So we built an agent that solves part of that problem, not only as a tool for upsell, but to help the industry understand the potential of Agentic AI systems in the go-to-market space of hosters, domain registrars, and the wider ecosystem (vendors, registries, hyperscalers).

We built it using Claude Code by Anthropic as the primary AI reasoning engine. Claude Code allowed us to design the scanning logic, the scoring system, and the analysis layer using natural language instructions that can be read, understood, and modified by anyone on your team. The agent’s logic is written in a CLAUDE.md file that you can edit in plain English to adjust scoring rules, add detection signals, or change how opportunities are prioritized.

What the agent does

You upload a list of WordPress domains from your customer base. The agent scans each one using free, publicly available data sources (Google PageSpeed Insights, HTTP headers, HTML analysis) and scores every domain from 0 to 100 across four dimensions:

  • Performance Pain (up to 35 points): slow response times, poor mobile scores, missing CDN or caching. Only measured on reachable websites using real Google PageSpeed data.
  • Security Exposure (up to 25 points): missing SSL, outdated WordPress or PHP versions, no firewall, weak security headers. Only scored when the site is reachable and the data can be verified.
  • WordPress Complexity (up to 25 points): high plugin count, WooCommerce, page builders, membership or LMS systems, many third-party scripts. More complexity means more need for managed infrastructure.
  • Business Signal (up to 15 points): online stores, booking systems, payment processing, lead capture, SEO and analytics investment. The more business-critical the website, the stronger the case for upgrading.

The result is a prioritized dashboard where your team can see exactly which customers to focus on, what the key risks are for each one, and a ready-to-copy data block they can use to craft personalized outreach.

What makes it different from a generic website auditor?

This is a revenue intelligence tool built specifically for the hosting and WordPress ecosystem.

  • Hard gates prevent false positives. A domain only receives a score if two conditions are met: the website must be reachable, and WordPress must be confirmed. If the site can’t be reached, it goes to Manual Review with no score. If it’s reachable but not WordPress, it’s excluded. No assumptions are made from missing data.
  • WooCommerce is detected and prioritized. WooCommerce sites automatically confirm WordPress and receive higher business impact scores because downtime and slowness directly affect revenue.
  • Business-friendly language, not technical jargon. Instead of “TTFB 920ms (>600ms)”, the agent says “The website is very slow to respond. Visitors may leave before it loads.” Your sales team can understand and use the findings without being technical.
  • It also works for domain registrants. If you have customers who only registered their domain with you but host elsewhere, scan their websites to identify opportunities to bring their hosting in.

Built on Claude Code, fully transparent and editable. The entire agent logic lives in a CLAUDE.md prompt file that Claude Code interprets. Want to change how plugins are weighted? Add a new detection signal? Adjust the scoring thresholds? Edit the file in plain language. No code changes required. Claude Code understands instructions like “consider sites with fewer than 5 plugins as low complexity” and adapts the agent’s behavior accordingly.

How it works in practice

  1. Export your WordPress customer domains from your billing system (WHMCS, Upmind, HostBill, etc) as CSV. Only the domain column is required.
  2. Configure your Google PageSpeed API key (free, 25,000 requests per day), your company name, your managed plan name, and select which features your plan includes. The agent will only reference features you actually sell.
  3. Run the scan. Each domain takes 3-5 seconds. You can pause, resume, or cancel at any time. Previously scanned domains are cached for 7 days so repeat visits load instantly.
  4. Review the dashboard. Filter by priority (High, Medium, Low, Manual Review, Exclude). Expand any domain to see full evidence, detected plugins, key risks, and a copy-paste data block for outreach.

Your team reviews everything before acting. Human-in-the-loop by design.

Run it weekly, monthly, or before any sales campaign. Every scan captures new opportunities as customer websites evolve.

What it costs

Nothing. The agent runs entirely on free public data. The only external service is the Google PageSpeed Insights API, which is free with your API key. No paid tokens, no subscriptions, no third-party data providers.

We’re releasing it as a contribution to the WordPress and web hosting community.

Download the agent

The download includes two options:

Option A: WordPress web version. Upload two files to your server, create a page, and your team uses it from the browser. No terminal, no coding. Ideal for sales and account management teams.

Option B: Claude Code version. Run it from your terminal with Claude Code. More flexible: you can modify the scoring logic in the CLAUDE.md file using natural language, add custom detection rules, connect to your billing system via API, or schedule automated recurring scans. Ideal for technical teams who want full control and automation.

Both options include full documentation.

Fill in a short form (Link at the bottom) and get instant access to the full package, including documentation and both setup options.

This is just the first half

The agent covers Signals and Opportunity. It tells you which customers need managed hosting and why. But the real revenue comes from what happens next: turning those insights into conversations that convert.

Which message works for an ecommerce store vs a healthcare site? How do you group 12 domains under one client into a single compelling conversation? What sales framework converts a 5-year customer vs a new one? How do you iterate 20-30 times until the system performs consistently for your product catalog?

That’s the activation layer. And that’s what Jaumatic builds with you.

We bring commercial frameworks adapted to your products, your segments, and your sales process. Built from real hosting industry experience, not generic AI templates.

The agent gives you the first two. Jaumatic completes the cycle.

Jaumatic is a Revenue Intelligence and Activation layer for the web hosting ecosystem. We help hosters, registrars, and WordPress agencies identify and activate upsell opportunities in their existing customer base through automated, data-driven systems built on real human sales experience in the hosting industry.
